We're now for sale at Cosmo's Vegan Shoppe! Cosmo's started in 2005 as an online vegan retailer and opened the doors to their shoppe in Marietta, GA two years later. They're the only vegan store in Georgia! We're so excited to be part of veganism in the south. Demo @ Whole Foods Lamar

We hit the shelves at Whole Foods Lamar and Whole Foods Gateway last week! We've been a vendor since this summer and it's taken much hard work to get to this point. Chris and I have worked so hard and sacrificed so much for this. This weekend completely confirmed that we are in the business we absolutely love and that our hard work is worth it.

All weekend, Chris and I posted up at Whole Foods Lamar (the flagship store) and handed out TONS of vegan chips y queso. The intoxicating smell of spicy deliciousness wafted down the aisles and at times it was very difficult to keep up with the samples and talk at the same time! Luckily, Chris rocks at filling those sample cups and I'm great at handing them out. Teamwork!

It was incredible to make new friends and talk about our vegan owned company. We found that the more we shared about ourselves, our company and our 3 year journey to share our product with the world -- the more each person wanted to support us. We thought we'd never get to this point, but baby steps eventually get you somewhere. In retrospect, I'm glad it wasn't easy. We're better people for it.

We found out that Kids LOVE Food for Lovers Vegan Queso. Check out this happy vegan boy with his new jar. His vegan mama, Krys, brought him and his brother to meet us.

Food for Lovers Vegan Queso @ Guero's Taco Bar

Great news! Food for Lovers Vegan Queso is now at Guero's Taco Bar on South Congress.

Guero's already has an incredible vegan menu. We're honored to be among lots of seriously yummy menu items like vegan enchiladas, vegan soy pastor tacos, vegan burritos and taco salads. We had trouble deciding, but finally ordered vegan enchiladas with ranchero sauce (sides of potatoes and beans), vegan soy pastor tacos (same sides) and a serving of chips and our vegan queso.

Guero's brings me back to the small taquerias I used to visit with my mom. Their beans are full of flavor and vegan, the papas are just like the potatoes my mom makes in the skillet when we visit. We loved the enchildas and tacos. Of course, we smothered everything in our vegan queso and there were fireworks.

The savory chorizo flavors in the taco were mellowed out with creamy queso and the enchiladas held together beautifully. The potatoes were out-of-this-world. Cheesy potatoes and beer, we discovered, is a beautiful marriage. We love Guero's and are so excited that everyone can order Food for Lovers Vegan Queso right in south Austin.

Food for Lovers Vegan Queso @ Sidecar For Pigs Peace

Pigs Peace Sanctuary owns an all vegan non-profit grocery store called Sidecar for Pigs Peace in Seattle's University District.

We've heard so much about Sidecar through the years and hope to one day visit!

If you're in Seattle, you can stop by the ultra cool shop and pick up some of our vegan queso. When you purchase any product from sidecar, a part of your purchase directly helps the lives of the animals who call Pigs Peace Sanctuary their home. How cool is that?

Food for Lovers Vegan Queso @ VIVO

More good news! You can now order Food for Lovers Vegan Queso at VIVO on Manor. Chris and I stepped into VIVO and kicked the cold to the curb with some beer, chips and our queso to start. They have a great patio outside. I imagine it'd be a nice spot for a margarita come warmer weather. Since it was cold and wet, we decided on a warm booth inside.

We looked over the menu and picked tofu enchildas and puffy tacos. It's great to have so many options for vegan Mexican food in Austin. Not to mention, each restaraunt has their own spin on things.

Take puffy tacos, for example. They're golden and the corn tortilla is fried and puffed up like it's trying to impress you. Though fried, the puffy tacos are very light and tasty. VIVO uses brown rice which I love. For once, Chris and I couldn't finish our meals. We were stuffed!

They took care of us. The service was great all around. The waitor was familiar with our vegan requests and didn't give us any grief. In fact, just the opposite, he was helpful and checked on us to make sure we had all we needed.
